A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR
St Leonards Art School offers a fully equipped studio just a step away from the seafront and historic gardens. Ideally placed to wash you free of those everyday distractions, fire your imagination and promote your sense of well being.
Our tutors each have decades of experience and support all abilities, from first timers to pro, in weekly classes, workshops, retreats and residencies.
Drawing inspiration from St Leonards' vibrant artistic community and glorious scenery, we'll share the vision and techniques inherited from art history whilst encouraging a playful and liberating attitude that stimulates your mind and nurtures your creative soul.

ART AUCTION
Dec 9th 2021
Last night’s #artauction raising money for Hastings Independent Press was a lot of fun and a great success. Head Tutor of St Leonard’s Art School, James Mackinnon’s painting garnered one of the highest prices at the event. Here we are celebrating with one of the school’s founding #patron’s Alan Rankle who took the snap.
ART EXHIBITION
March 28th 2022
Our Director Theresa Caruana is currently showing her copy of Goya's 'The Flirtation' (pictured) along side one hundred other artists at the Twelve Hundred Erotic Postcards exhibition. The exhibition is being held at 1200 Postcards on Queens Road, Hastings with artworks available to buy at auction on the 16th April 2022.
All proceeds go to the charity Haven Books for Prisoners.
